He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies) from the University of Newcastle. Stephen now works as a freelance journalist and on regional newspapers. He is also an experienced scriptwriter, working on scripts for corporate clients, documentaries and dramatic films. Kathy Purcell Kathy Purcell lives in Queensland and has studied at two vocational institutes. She chose these institutes for their flexible entry and delivery options so she could combine study with caring for her children. Kathy has worked in South East Asia and she hopes her writing will allow her to continue travelling. Her articles have appeared in various newspapers and magazines. Recently she has decided to begin a fi tness course part-time. Once again, she has chosen to study at a vocational institute. Margaret-Ann Williams Margaret-Ann Williams lives in Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. She has undertaken extensive study including a public relations course at TAFE SA, a linguistics degree at Adelaide University and a Master of Arts (Journalism) from the University of South Australia. Margaret-Ann has co-authored a series of guides to Adelaide and South Australia and has written articles on subjects ranging from rocket science to tourist destinations. Margaret-Ann has also experienced Australian education from the viewpoint of a parent. Australia: The Education Destination Elizabeth Roberts-Wright Elizabeth Roberts-Wright has lived in a number of different areas in Australia including Cairns in Far North Queensland, the regional city of Bendigo in Victoria and Robinvale, a small country town in the same state. Elizabeth has studied vocational courses at TAFE and some subjects through Open Learning at Griffi th University. Elizabeth has broad experience in Australian education, having worked at primary and secondary school, and now teaching adults at a TAFE institute. 3
