Our students excel under the guidance of great teachers who love what they do and seek to inspire them to achieve their best. They have a genuine interest in getting to know their students, so they can teach them effectively, identify issues or problems, and care for their welfare. Our local students and staff create a welcoming environment for our international students who speak very highly of the School and their experiences. Yarra Valley Grammar’s broad curriculum is responsive to individual student needs, and new subjects and projects are introduced to ensure relevance to today’s students. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes provide our international students with an opportunity to succeed in an environment that caters for second language learners, and a classroom aide offers assistance in all subject areas to ensure the content is understood and the student can move forward confidently. A support program for international students is offered after school to complement the curriculum across all subject areas. This program is supervised by the Head of International Students and experienced tutors in key subject areas. Yarra Valley Grammar aims to instil a sense of independence and resilience in each student. We understand how important it is for our students to feel safe and valued within the School community. A strong pastoral care team, along with the international student guardian and homestay family, supports the academic and personal journey of every international student. Together we encourage our international students to participate in a diverse range of extra curricular opportunities, including academic, sporting and special interest clubs. International students also have access to support and enrichment programs, as well as vocational counselling and specialist advice on tertiary courses. The majority of students move on to tertiary study, with the University of Melbourne and Monash University being the most popular choices. A unique aspect of Yarra Valley Grammar is its spacious grounds and extensive on-site playing fields, including a Physical Education and Sports Complex. Yarra Valley Grammar’s brand new Upper Primary Building, contemporary Year 7 Centre and Senior Student Centre, provide flexible learning spaces for students. There are also superior facilities for music and drama within the School’s state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre and Music School, as well as two libraries, a Science Centre, tennis courts, hockey fields and a swimming pool. An extensive computer network covers the whole school with wireless internet connection and technology integrated throughout the curriculum. Senior School students have access to eight information technology laboratories and two multimedia laboratories. ‘Wootton Lodge’, the School’s country property in Eastern Victoria provides a focus for the School’s comprehensive Outdoor Education program. a co-Educational school in thE anglican tradition – EarlY lEarning to YEar 12 Yarra Valley Grammar Kalinda Road Ringwood Victoria 3134 Australia Telephone +61 3 9262 7700 Email email@example.com www.yvg.vic.edu.au CR ICOS NO. 00356E great teachers. great Education. great opportunities. 8464 - YVG Edu.
